Hairfinity, for longer hair. Sounds great, but is it?

Harfinity Hair Vitamins

Hello babes, it’s me again.

A few months ago, I got a couple of products from Hairfinity. The brand promises sugar, spice & everything nice, but does it actually work? Read about it in this article.

I’ve got a few free products from Hairfinity during their Instagram Campaigns – the CLEANSE AND CONDITION KIT and the HAIRFINITY Healthy Hair Vitamins
and I wanted to share my opinion on those products, with you. Like any product, there are some pros and cons to it, so let me start with the pros:

  • The Kardashians and Jenners use it, so it has to be something amazing.

This was my first reaction and I was so excited to get the chance to use a hair product endorsed by Kendall, Kim, Khloe and even other celebs. They are famous for their voluminous waves and for healthy, although drastically bleached hair. It was pretty obvious that they were paid to do so, still, I had to try it out.

  • Vitamins

According to the website, Hairfinity Hair Vitamins provide the basic nutrients for healthy hair. The supplements balances B-complex, biotin, vitamin C, vitamin D, silica, and sulphur (as MSM) to help create an optimal growing environment for healthy hair.

  • It is sulfate-free, silicone-free,  CAPILSANA® COMPLEX.

Yes, that should definitely be an advantage, but not in my case. The complex ensures that the hair doesn’t lose its natural moisture. In other words, I felt like I didn’t wash my hair at all!! After the first couple of amazing washes and conditioning, my hair was so soft and beautiful (and I just have been bleaching my hair at home, so I was very grateful for not having the bleached-cotton-candy-feel) but after a couple of weeks, everytime, after washing my hair, I’d run my hand through my hair and feel that sticky feeling, as if some shampoo didn’t get washed away properly. I’d wash it again and again, and the feeling was still there. That’s when I knew that that was the result of the silicone-free, sulfate-free products. It’s supposed to be natural and healthy for the hair, but I hate it.

  • Biotin (vitamin B7)

This water-soluble B vitamin is essential for healthy hair growth and also protects against dryness and many other hair benefits including the ability to increase the elasticity of the hair’s cortex, thus preventing breakage. BUT!

This vitamin, precisely, taking this vitamin in form of a food supplement may cause the surface of your skin to be more prone to breakouts.

  • The hair vitamins smell like spoiled milk.

It is because of the nature of the vitamin. B vitamins, flaxseed, and assorted other supplements, all tend to have a stronger odor, sometimes caused by naturally occurring sulfur. You can sometimes lessen the odor by leaving the bottle open and “airing” it out. In other cases, the exposure may make the smell worse.

  • The hair vitamins do not cause miracles.

I personally have nothing against the use of dietary supplements, I am regularly using a lot of them in addition to a healthy diet. But don’t expect too much from Hair Vitamins. They do help, but not in an amazingly unbelievable “Omg-my-hair-is-so-much-longer-after-two-months” amount like it is marketed with Hairfinity.

Overall, I did like the products, because my hair was really exhausted after all the ironing, bleach and curls, and the conditioner really did the trick. The packaging was really cute and you even get instruction cards along with the products. They are also offering hair oils and hair vitamin gums, and all kinds of hair maintenance kits. Their website is full of useful information, tips, tricks, and tests – I find it admirable how much effort they put into it – but all in all, I did not go for a second round and the Hair Vitamins left me unsatisfied.

The opinions and views expressed are my own. The product was received for free.

Feel free to ask me any questions about the products in the comments below.
